Cicada hype a bust

Ridgewood NJ, This year's brood of cicadas are currently popping up on the east coast -- but not quite with the drama we initially expected.

The Cicada had been predicted to descend on the metro New York area around Memorial day like plague of Biblical proportions but colder weather and heavy rains seem to have keep the massive Cicada invasion in check.

While it is difficult to track cicadas because there was not a lot of research technology available seventeen years ago when the brood two group last came around , the large ugly bug so far seems noticeably absent from this years summer festivities
